If you are registering for the first time
Create an account
- Go to study.learning.wiley.com
- Click to create a new account
Register your book
- Click “Redeem Test Bank”
- Choose Sybex and the book you are using.
- Then answer a question about the book and you are in. The old PIN code system is no longer used
If you were already using the old site
- Go to study.learning.wiley.com
- Click to create a new account
- Login using your credentials from the old site
Note that any books you had registered that haven’t expired yet will appear. However, your progress/history on them will not.
Different than Real Exam
Be aware that the exam software is different than on the real exam. For example, the real exam lets you flag questions for later, navigate to specific questions, or end the exam from any question.
Hi. When I’ve used the old site I was able to take custom test based on the chapters I wanted or use the flashcards, but now with the new site I was able to redeem and that is all. I don’t have any other feature. Could you help me with that please, I would really like to take custom tests again, the books redeemed only contain the chapter tests which I already have in the book.
Which book are you looking at on the site?
Tintoiu said it was the Java 17 book. I tested and see the flashcards and practice exams in addition to the book materials.
Hi, I’m trying to access the mock exams for OCA Java 8, but I can only see the practice exams that were already in the book. No flashcards either. Were there some changes in the meantime?

This is what I see. The bonus exams are online only, not in the book and what you are looking for. The flashcards tab is obviously the flashcards. And the resources tab is the glossary.
I had failed in 2021 and haven’t done much since then, but yesterday I wanted to check what’s your latest book and saw this. I didn’t know of its existence and it would have been of great help back then.
I immediately redeemed the test banks for Java 11 book and started them.
However I noticed your questions are tricky and misleading in a way Oracle has stated they won’t be on the exam. How do I know that?
To give you one example, they clearly stated you won’t be examined on something that the question is not asking, for example there won’t be a compile error on a question about let’s say Streams unless it’s part of the matter.
I see plenty of those types of misleading questions.
Back in 2021 there was a promotion for the 25th anniversary of the language and the Oracle online course was accessible with the promotion. It was explained what kind of questions there will be and what kind there won’t be in this course.
We agree that type of question won’t be on the exam. However, it trains you to answer questions that will be. By having to look for compiler errors in extra questions you get more practice. Our goal isn’t to simulate the exam. It’s to help you pass.
