How much time lost just because of it”. I don’t know. I didn’t notice it as it was happening because all of my managers have always trusted me. If I had micro-managing managers, I’m sure this would have been a big problem. I’ve had to talk to a single manager about their own set of (too many) priorities on several occasions as well. So while I’m sure there has been extra overhead, it wasn’t onerous. On the positive side, I got feedback from multiple managers which helped me gain experience and grow faster. It also let me experience multiple points of view of the same event. In the long run, those positive memories has been way more powerful than any additional overhead.
