This question is actually meant for Kris – April 4, 2015, but you are welcome to answer as well: Last week I wrote the OCA 7 here in South Africa and the time limit was 2h00min . Kris mentions a time limit of 2h30min – was that for OCA 7 ?

In reply to Kris. Kris: I was able to answer all the questions by a comfortable margin. I had time to review all the ones I wasn't 100% sure of. Note that I tend to take tests quickly so this might not representative of everyone!

I don’t believe I got a question on DataSources. That doesn’t mean it isn’t on the exam though.

I like JDBC a lot so I knew it fairly well before the exam. That knowledge served me well. A working knowledge of the topics in the objectives is enough. They weren’t trying to trick you like the “doesn’t compile because it is missing an exception” type ones.

I study form Oracle docs but I think there are irrelevant topics so i want to make sure, Does”Connecting with DataSource Objects” topic exist in the exam ?
& how was JDBC questions in the exam in general ?

In reply to Maged. The reason I didn't mention it here is that I took the beta and the software wasn't available yet. Given the OCA exam software was very good, I have no reason to think the OCP one wouldn't be.
