The word “test” is used in a Java program, not in a shell script. Bash/mysql are not executing it, so it is fine. I disagree that avoiding reserve words/commands from another language should be avoided when you are not in that language.

I would not use the word ‘test’ anywhere in the program. Bash and Mysql are but a few apps that use this as a default. Your usage is perfectly OK, however, on the safe side I would modify this word.
