In reply to Ravi Mukkavilli. Ravi: The OCMEA and TOAGF exams are completely independent and can be taken in either order. OCMEA is probably more valuable to take first because it is more closely related to knowledge you have. And application architecture is easier to grasp than enterprise architecture.

Thanks for the preparation tips. But as I saw your latest articles you also wrote and cleared TOGAF 1 and 2. I was wondering in what sequence giving certification exams would be better in your view OCMEA -> TOGAF or TOGAF -> OCMEA. I’m a Sr java Developer.

Himai: Exams targeting the version of the exam you are taking are best. SCEA/OCMEA 5 exams will help some for the OCMEA 6. But not as much as OCMEA 6 mocks.

In reply to HiMai Minh. You need to understand them conceptual, be able to design EJB and JSF and make decisions about them. You do not need to be able to code them.

I see. And then which course did you take and how much did it cost? I saw on their page that there is an entire list and you can choose one, or so I figured.

In reply to Alex. Each part was $300. So $900. I took the exam before the mandatory course requirement.
