LCDs and LEDs are perfect for my 67 year old parents, but if you actually care about picture quality, throw them both in the trash and pick yourself up a decent plasma (I recommend the Pioneer Elite). They still provide the best overall black levels, picture quality, and color depth of any of the flat screen technologies.
